Wondrous Words Wednesday (28th Jan)

wondrous2

Wondrous Words Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Bermuda Onion where you can share new words that you’ve encountered or spotlight words you love.  Feel free to get creative!   If you want to play along, grab the button, write a post and come back and add your link to Mr. Linky!

This week both my words are from Unrequited by Christy Heron (read my review).

My Words:

Exscinded – “The routine punched me in the face, leaving a permanent scar as a grateful Jack exscinded me from his daily routine.”

Exscind means to cut out of.

Yarmulke – “My bed head lasted through October: a flattened circle of hair where a yarmulke would go.”

A yarmulke is a skullcap worn by Jewish men and boys. I never knew what it was called until now!
